In the past, missionary movements had been led mainly by the western church. In the 21st century, however, missionary movements have evolved into an international and interdenominational movement. The churches in Asia, Africa, and Latin-America have emerged as new missionary forces. And it has become imperative that the western and non-western churches learn to cooperate and partner with each other to accomplish the remaining task of world evangelization.
East-West Center for Missions and Research Development came into being to harness the strengths of both worlds to develop a formidable partnership to proclaim the Gospel to all nations, cultures and people groups.
Established under the auspices of Asia Missions Association, EWCMRD envisions to be a catalyst for world mission movement in the 21st century. We aim to develop world-class leaders, produce cutting-edge mission researches and publications and provide forums for discussions and sharing of ideas. We are in partnership with churches, missiological associations, mission structures and theological seminaries.
