Compendium of the 2017 Forum of the Asian Society of Missiology

Through this compendium of the 5th Triennial Missions Leadership Forum of the Asian Society of Missiology, we pray that our readers will receive God’s clear call to make disciples of Jesus Christ among the religiously pluralistic societies in the world, especially in Asia. Each chapter was a paper presented at the conference held in Bali from July 9-12, 2018.

Mission today has become a multi-ethnic enterprise, from everywhere to everywhere. Globalization has had a great impact on the strategy of world mission. The church has the responsibility of proclaiming the unchanging Words of God to a changing world. To do this, we must not only have a correct understanding of the message of God, but also a wider perspective of the changing world in which His Words will be proclaimed.

This book contains a vast number of articles and papers presented at the AMA 12th Convention, Manila, Philippines, 2016.

 Compendium of ASM Bangkok Missions Leadership Forum, 2015

 동서선교연구개발원에서 주최한 선교 지도자 서밋의 보고서이다. 이 포럼은 풀러선교대학원의 선교 역사 교수인 폴 피어슨 박사의 주제 강연으로 시작되어 각 선교단체 지도자들이 자신들이 속한 선교단체들의 과거와 현재를 조명함과 동시에, 미래를 전망하고 선교단체들이 겪고 있는 여러 이슈들을 발표했다. 선교단체들의 긍정적인 면과 부정적인 면, 그리고 한계의 노출을 시도하였다. 그리고 앞으로 선교단체들이 어떠한 문제들에 직면하게 되고 그 모습들이 앞으로 어떻게 변화할 것인지도 예측하였다. 또한 선교단체들이 오늘날의 환경과 특별히 다가오는 미래의 새로운 환경에도 여전히 적합한 구조인지를 의논하였다. 이러한 진단과 예측을 통해, 선교단체들이 어떻게 하면 교회와 더불어 그리스도의 대위임령을 성취해야 갈 것인지를 진지하게 고민하였다.
